In 2004 I decided that I wanted to spend the second and last year of my Master degree as an exchange student, possibly in a country that was quite different from Italy. Norway seemed an interesting choice, so I spent one year in Bergen between 2005 and 2006 as an Erasmus student. This year was the most intense of my life and shaped my personality a lot.

I came back here for the first time on Thursday. Entering the doors of the Fantoft Student Hostel—the hostel where the majority of international students in Bergen live—triggered so many memories. I could recognise even the little details like the smell in the corridors and the noise of the elevators. It seemed almost like I had never left this place. I will stay here until the 18th of April, probably part of my future will be decided during these days so please, keep the fingers crossed for me! 😉
